Rediscovering the West Coast: a trip down “The American Riviera”
Globalista reports, written by passionate travellers like yourselves, help you find exactly what you need to make the most of your trip, wherever in the world it may be.

Whilst Globalista already has a Maldives Report, with so many new openings it was time to rediscover the islands. So coming soon is a Postcard from Bella Pollen on the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa and on Gili Lankanfushi. And it fell to your intrepid reporter together with Blonde and Baby to experience the LUX*Maldives and Huvafen Fushi.

One of our favourite Globalista correspondents Simon Lowe is just back from California. Here's his itinerary from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Background In the early 21st century, London restaurants need no introduction. They are among the slickest, sexiest, most authentic, most diverse, most reasonably priced (trust us) and most expensive in the world. There’s something for everyone and somewhere for every mood. The only difficulty is choosing where to go. The Eight Hottest Reservations The Ivy (1-5 West Street, WC2; 020 7580 6022)...

We noticed that whilst we have Globalista Guides for Lima and Cuzco that we didn't have a sample itinerary that gives an idea as to how to spend 10 days or more in Peru. So we asked our favorite travel specialists in Peru Aracari if they would draw up sample itineraries for both an Art themed and a more general trip but as ever with Globalista highlighting just the best of the best. We hope you're as excited as we are to try out these itineraries later in the year.

A hotel chain. (Noun. Pl) def. A series of identical establishments, inextricably linked by their lack of discernible differences. Sounds appealing? Not to me. I must confess that with the exception of America’s Best Westerns,...
What sets Parrot Cay apart from other holiday resorts I’ve been to is the down-to-earth, cool, chilled vibe, as well as the natural beauty of the island and water.

Méribel is the most British of all resorts in the Alps. The now sprawling resort lies at the centre of the vast Trois Vallées ski area, which boasts 600km of pistes linking Courchevel, Val Thorens, La Tania, Les Menuires and St Martin-de-Belleville, making it the most convenient base from which to explore the slopes. The resort incorporates 14 villages, stretching up a steep, narrow valley from Méribel Village at 1400m to the top of Méribel Mottaret at 1800m.
